Taekwondo
The way of the hand and the foot Taekwondo is a martial art that focuses on powerful kicking techniques, making it distinct from other martial arts like karate or southern kung fu styles. The philosophy behind this is that the legs are the longest and strongest weapons a martial artist has, making them ideal for executing strikes without leaving oneself vulnerable to retaliation. The Korean people historically believed that hands were too valuable to be used in combat.
